PATRICK MOURATOGLOU: THE MAN BEHIND THE BRAND
As a kid, Patrick had one thing in mind: becoming a professional tennis player. However, his parents didn’t believe in that dream and didn’t give their support. Patrick vowed that if he couldn’t achieve his dream, he would help others do it. In 1996, the Mouratoglou Academy was born. When Patrick first started coaching, people said “What are you doing? You know nothing about coaching.” His answer was, “I know nothing but I learn fast.” Through passion and determination, he built his own tennis empire and became the most influential tennis coach in the world. He is known for turning unknowns into superstars, and superstars into sports legends. Most know him as Serena Williams’ coach, and rightly so. Whether it’s by detecting and supporting young talents or by developing UTS, the world’s most revolutionary tennis league, Patrick never stops to innovate and to contribute to the future of the sport.
